How to build a Christ-centered vision with focus, conviction, and empowerment.

FOCUS, the main purpose or interest.

Focus is one of the keys to Christ-centered leadership and is also one of the most common struggles among leaders. How can you focus on what matters most with so many tasks on your plate? The truth is: you can’t be good at everything. And as the Cheshire Cat from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland said, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road can take you there.” Shifting your focus to what matters most to accomplish your vision is the best place to start.

CONVICTION, a held belief or opinion.

It’s hard to support a leader who lacks passion and conviction. People want to be inspired by you—even if they don’t always agree with you. When you lead with conviction, you help people feel that they’re safe, cared for, and the cause they’re working toward is worth it.

EMPOWERMENT, authority or power given to someone to do something.

What happens when you empower those who are under your leadership? You create more leaders—who may even move on to bigger and better things. And that’s the goal! Empowerment isn’t about producing more followers who will do things your way—it’s helping people unlock their potential to make a greater impact in the world.

VISION, the ability to plan the future with imagination and wisdom.

How are you leading with focus, conviction, and empowerment so that your vision gains momentum?

In Christ-centered leadership, the leader’s cause, actions, and convictions have their foundation on the NAME above all names.
