Founded over a century ago, the First Baptist Church of Teresina, situated in Teresina, Piauí, Brazil, is an enduring symbol of faith. Devoted to serving the state, this community actively enriches the spiritual landscape by strategically establishing churches throughout Piaui, explicitly focusing on rural areas. Recognizing the limited exposure to the gospel in these rural regions, the church is committed to closing this gap.
Acknowledging churches' pivotal role in advancing the gospel's spread, the First Baptist Church of Teresina wholeheartedly commits to this mission. With unwavering dedication, the church strives to uphold and perpetuate its legacy, ensuring that the illuminating message of the gospel continues to radiate in the often-overlooked areas of Piaui.
Several months ago, Lead by the Name was invited to join PIB de Teresina, providing expertise in organizational development. Driven by a commitment to the legacy and a conviction to spread the gospel in Piaui, our team accepted this meaningful invitation. Last October, Lead by the Name President Eduardo Mendes was invited to spend a weekend at the church, engaging in observations, meetings with leaders, and delivering a sermon—a blessed time of learning about PIB Teresina.
The Lead by the Name approach to every project involves a thorough assessment, extending beyond a mere questionnaire. It's a comprehensive examination that begins with building strong relationships. This process enables us to identify needs and gaps and design projects seamlessly aligned with their reality. Committed to actively assisting PIB Teresina, Lead by the Name is facilitating the implementation of their new church structure, realizing their vision, and shaping the trajectory of the next decade through strategic planning. Through ongoing consultation meetings between the Lead by the Name team and the church, we aim to deliver a comprehensive plan driving substantial progress. Ultimately, this strengthens the church's capacity to serve as a transformative force for the Gospel in Piaui, Brazil.
