He holds a Bachelor of Theology from the Baptist Theological Seminary of Southern Brazil (STBSB) and completed postgraduate studies in Bible with an emphasis on Preaching and Teaching at Faculdade Logos. He took part in The Lead Pastor training (PIBA) and is currently pursuing expository preaching training in the Preach the Word course (PIBA) and Biblical Counseling training through the Brazilian Association of Biblical Counselors (ABCB), having completed the Self-Confrontation course and Modules 1 and 2.
He has served in pastoral ministry for 20 years. He pastored the Baptist Church in Coronel Leôncio for four years, served as assistant minister of Religious Education at the Baptist Church of November 22 for two years, and for the past 14 years has been the senior pastor of the Baptist Church in Vital Brazil, in Niterói, where he leads a ministry focused on biblical teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care.
In his secular academic field, he holds a teaching degree and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), a doctorate in Science and Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and postgraduate studies in Integrated School Management, with an emphasis on Administration, Supervision, Guidance, and School Inspection, from FAMART. He serves as a Physics teacher for the Rio de Janeiro State Department of Education (SEDUC-RJ).
He is married to Vanise and is the father of Rebeca and Andresa.
