Searching for a Visionary Leader
Located in Boa Vista, Roraima, in the far north of Brazil, Igreja Batista El-Shaddai is a close-knit community of 100 committed members and regular attenders. Aligned with the Southern Baptist denomination in Brazil, the church remains steadfast in its commitment to the deep teachings of God’s Word. Worship is marked by unwavering devotion, with a focus on fellowship, weekly corporate worship experiences, and a strong dedication to mission and active community engagement.
Located in a city near the border with Venezuela, the community recognizes the strategic importance of its location, given the significant flow of migrants from Venezuela into Brazil. In response, the church seeks to embody God’s love and care for His people, embracing the responsibility of sharing the gospel in this dynamic context.
Recently, the church extended an invitation to Lead by the Name to take part in its pastoral succession process. With a track record of success in completing a pastoral succession project in São Paulo, Lead by the Name is eager to continue serving the Kingdom by helping churches navigate pastoral transitions.
Our thorough process was designed to minimize the risk of appointing the wrong candidate. Guided by a team of experienced consultants specializing in churches and ministry organizations, we conducted a comprehensive assessment of the church. This full evaluation aims to identify the specific characteristics and doctrinal principles crucial to selecting the right person to lead the congregation into the next season.
The assessment process includes both online meetings and in-person visits. Our team is excited to serve this local community and to discover, collaboratively, the ideal person to lead the church in this new season. We invite you to join us in prayer, asking for the success of this process and trusting that God has already chosen the right person for this community.
